We used the gate at night to keep two cats apart. The gate is high enough that they can’t jump over and so far neither cat has tried to climb it. Just what we needed for a good nights sleep without cats fighting and chasing each other. Hopefully they will be friends one day!!

I wasn’t prepared for a plastic snap on latch closure. I’ve had several of these gates over the last 25 years and always had a metal latch. I’m crossing my fingers the plastic will hold up long term; I doubt it’s a promising thought.

I bought this gate to try to keep our cat from getting upstairs but she jumps clean over it and our kitten just climbs straight up and throws herself over. I am sure works great for dogs. It is very sturdy – just make sure to pick a width that applies good pressure to the adjacent walls

I bought this to keep my cats out of the guest bedrooms and bath section of the house. It is tall enough to keep them from jumping over it, and expands to fit over the baseboards. It is very secure once you find the right groove to place the bar.

Bought two of these for the RV. One was already broken when I got it. 2nd one broke shortly. The wood breaks, OK to use if the dog or kid doesn’t put too much pressure on it. It’s the only gate this high on the market.

This is a great and easy to use pet gate, IF your pets won’t climb it. 2 out of 3 of my cats are not very athletic and the 44” tall gate was great. My third cat however not only climbed it, but also easily jumped it AFTER we covered the mesh part with plywood. I think we will need to double up on gate height considering this.

I have an Australian Shepherd that doesn’t respect screen doors. So I ended up buying a magnetic screen door to replace the screen then I had a gate in front of it and that was too short and he still jumped over that gate. But with this gate he can’t jump over it.

I needed a super tall, sturdy gate to keep my dogs out of the kitchen. They like to jump and can jump very high, this gate prevents them from going in the kitchen and is even taller than the fences outside which is good. It doesn’t budge when they are pushing it and putting their weight in it either, a good 70 pounds total.

Make sure to measure your doorway. It was slightly too big for mine by an inch or so. My house was built in 2002 so I didn’t think it would be an issue with a relatively average doorway. Good height.

I bought this for my patio to garage access door, so I could keep door open to garage to vent heat and keep the dogs in the back yard , I bought the tall one because of a high jumping jack Russell , a little warped because it’s made of pine and not laminated, but does its intended job, I would recommend and buy again.

The gate broke the first time I used it!! The wood is very weak and cheap. It does stretch nicely however when you push down to lock it the wood cracks. I used it cracked for a couple weeks and it eventually broke all together. Not safe for stairs!

This was just the product I was looking for, expands or contracts from 30 to 50 inches. Therefore adaptable to a wide range of doors or passageways. No screws or studs to find, And will work fine for a cat or a small dog. In short, it does everything I wanted it to, and hassle-free!

I use this every day to contain some of our cats in a room. It allows them to see past the door and air to flow better. I go in and out of that room often and this gate is both easy to use and very durable. I plan to buy one or two more.

Simple to use. Fit’s tightly in the doorway. While my cat is 6+ years old and knows she really doesn’t have it in her any more to try to go for it, I don’t believe a younger cat would try either.

We bought this dog gate in July, 2021, and used it probably two dozen times before the wood splintered on the suspension arm in February, 2022. The gate is now useless. We have had many wooden pressure gates over the years and most of them have lasted decades. We are very disappointed in this cheaply-made gate.

This will not work if you have molding on your walls. It will only work for doorways unfortunately. If you have a molding trim there is no way to get even pressure and secure the gate.

I absolutely love these gates! It covers all sizes of doorways and hallways. It’s easy to adjust with 1 inch increments. The tension holds it in place, even for my Huskies and Bernese Mountain Dogs. And they last for years!!

We bought 2 gates to mount in an open doorway and used one above the other to completely block the doorway. We needed to keep 2 cats separated, and this worked perfectly. Once we got the hang of it, opening and closing was easy. We’re very pleased with this product.

I ordered the used like new option for this item but I guess that was a mistake. Sure the item looked new but it came cracked on the top and the bottom of the gate. I needed to use it right away so I used duct tape to repair it. I didn’t want the hassle of returning it. Nonetheless, the gate works very well and is easy to use.

Does the trick – no more dogs in the front room or on my couch. The lock misaligns a bit – mostly because my kids handle it like a rag doll. But it is a quick slide back in and doesn’t affect the sturdiness.

Cheap wood locking mechanism broke on the 1st use with very little pressure i cut pieces of wood to patch the broken area so we could still use it. Definitely would not recommend buying

I searched for days for an expandable gate like this that was this tall and this is the only product on the market. I needed a really tall gate otherwise my dog would jump over it. She has chewed through other types of gates. This gate has metal bars instead of plastic so she can’t get through it. Love this product!

Purchased this so we could open the front door and our dog can’t get out. Tall enough he can’t jump over, sturdy enough to stay in place, and easy to use. Nice to be able to let the cool evening air in with no worries. Note: you cannot close the door with the gate up- the doorknob hits the gate. You need to remove gate to close door.

I’m extremely disappointed, the wood along a top portion split after light use for a week. I’d very much like a replacement but I’m unsure how to go about that. We didn’t think failure of this extreme would happen so we didn’t save the box. I have no clue where I could find another of similar size to ship it back. I really hope the manufacturer can just send us a replacement or at very least refund our money.
