MidWest Quality: you can see it, feel it, test it.

Quality is what built our brand over 90 years ago. It’s the foundation of our business. And it’s our commitment to ongoing, industry-leading quality assurance practices that continues to sustain our brand.

One thing that sets us apart from our competitors is the synergistic relationship we’ve established between our research and design department, our quality control and testing lab, our customer service team, and our production facilities.

This synergism enables us to assure our customers that they’re getting the best possible product at a fair price and that we have what it takes to properly address the things that matter most to them. Ultimately, it ensures that they’re providing their pets with the safest, healthiest, most comfortable and secure homes on the market – truly innovative homes that satisfy every pet need.

Our tests follow detailed procedures and evaluation methods and are designed to meet the highest of standards, including those set forth by the American Society for Quality and the American Society for Testing and Materials.

Each MidWest product undergoes rigorous testing from the product design phase and throughout the lifespan of the product line. We stand behind our products with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Wire Products

Each crate, exercise pen, and wire product is tested for coating adhesion, rust resistance, lead, adherence to wire gauge and mesh standards, welds, and overall durability and functionality.

Textiles

Our QuietTime® pet beds and fabric products, like Feline Nuvo® Cat Furniture, undergo textile testing following the standards set forth by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.

We closely monitor the appearance and durability of our pet beds after repeated laundering, evaluating the smoothness, seams, weight, density, dimensional changes, pilling, and colorfastness. Specialty textiles are repeatedly tested to ensure they meet our stated performance claims, including absorbency and wicking in our Dry Paws™ Training Pads and the water-resistance of our QuietTime® MAXX pet beds.

Packaging

MidWest tests all products and their packaging according to International Safe Transit Association standards. This includes testing the strength and robustness of the combined product and packaging as well as conducting fixed displacement, vibration, and shock testing.
