This is a great crate. Very well made and very sturdy. I don’t know if the divider is a problem with every crate, or just a problem with mine. The divider is not wide enough to go from side to side. I attached one side, and then really had to bend the other side to get that side to attach. I can’t attach the bottom loop because the crate won’t bend near the bottom. Now one side of the crate, instead of being straight up and down, it is concave. If it weren’t for this I would easily rate this 5 stars.

I have no experience with crates but checked this one on fakespot.com and was happy with the review rating (lots of other crates here on amazon do poorly on fakespot because of all of the fake reviews). But this one had lots of legitimate positive reviews and I can see why. It ships flat, assembles in less than a minute, has two latches for extra security, and it has little wheels on the base which allow easy sliding on hard floors. Since greyhounds have thin skin that can easily tear (requiring stitches), it’s important that a crate not have any sharp edges. And this one doesn’t, so he can turn around inside and we don’t have to worry about him hurting himself when we’re not around, or while we’re asleep. We liked this one so much we bought a second one for my wife’s little vegan shoe factory, for when she takes him to work with her.
This crate is awesome! Everything you’re looking for for your large dog. Or puppy who is soon to be a large dog – as is the case with my wife and I. The divider makes it very easy to slowly increase the size of the crate to match your growing puppy. The crate is sturdy and well constructed. It folds up nicely and come with customizable handles, should you ever need to move it around. I will say though, it’s quite big. And quite heavy – which is definitely how you want it! But you’re probably not going to be carrying it around all that much. One pet peeve (but not worth brining the review down by a star, IMO) – There were a couple bent parts of the metal of the crate. Nothing too drastic, but noticeable. This either happened in construction or transit. Not sure. But I own 2 of these, and both of them have this very minor defect. Also, on one of my crates, the door sags just a little, so you sometimes have to pull up on it to shut it. Nothing too bad, but again, worth mentioning.
I like the size and the sturdiness of this crate. Only one problem….at the bottom on the inside of the crate where the bottom of the door hits, the wire has been cut and the edges left are extremely sharp. I have to put a towel over that part of the entry to ensure that my dog who stretches out does not accidentally cut his toes. He sometimes seems to push his feet up against the metal. Nothing has happened so far, but I am not taking any chances as I inadvertently passed my fingers across that section while straightening up his bedding (towels). Just an FYI….probably should’ve contacted MidWest with the issue but I needed the crate!!!

we are using this ting crate for our kitten. hes about 7 months old. we ordered it because he is just bad, wont stay off my table or counters. constantly searching for more & more food. so in he goes at night. and i dont have to be frustrated and keep yelling.he goes in around 11-30 and stays all night. it doesnt come with a pad. it needs one. even for a young animal no padding would hurt their bonesperfect size to travel if need be, or move from room to room
I got this crate for my older dog who started having anxiety after our best friend past away and she became an only dog. She refused to even entertain the idea of a crate. When we got our new puppy, golden retriever, I decided to use this crate starting at 13 weeks when he out grew the smaller crate (he is now 6 months). He is a puppy and does puppy things but he isn’t as wild as some other reviewers pups. I’ve had no problems with the crate really. Little things, the locks when closed will remain up in the air, the pieces that keeps the folded crate together was never fully attached and eventually fell off. But these things don’t keep it from working. I took my dogs on a 2 week trip across the country bringing the crate with me. It is still holding up well after the daily folding and unfolding. It just fits folded in the back of a RAV4 but not unfolded. It does not fit folded in the trunk of my camery but will fit on the floor of the backseat but then it doesn’t feel safe to have dogs in the backseat without fear of them getting hit has it moves when you break.
The crate arrived with the bottom tray already cracked. Unfortunately, we got rid of the box before noticing this detail. Although Amazon shows this item as having free returns, we were only going to get about $40 refunded (of the $60 or so we spent) and on top of that, the box to ship it would cost us $25. Not happy and can’t even find a way to contact the company. Total waste of money.

I’m happy I saved money and bought the used very good. The packaging was damaged but I throw that away so who cares. Cage looked brand new & did not seem like it had been set up before. This works perfect for my needs. My 17yr dog is having trouble holding his pee all day so this will be perfect to confine him to one space. He’s only 10 pounds so it’s plenty of room for a bed and a pee pad.
I bought 2 of these crates. They are different crates. On has a plastic piece to hold the crate together, the other a metal clip. Only one of the crates have the rubber feet as advertised, the other was missing one foot. One crate unfolded easily the other crate the ends were stuck in the crate divider. We had to bend the crate to unstick it. I will not order these again. Both crates say iCrate rather then Midwest like I have gotten in the past. Not impressed with these crates at all.
Bought for two dogs. I would have liked to use the divider to separate them and each have their own separate doors. But the way it is constructed there is no way to install the divider for two dogs to each have their own entrance into the cage. You need to remove the divider every time you want to let the dogs in to separate areas. For a single dog or dogs that can share the same area, it is a great product
Perfect size used while we traveled had it buckled in so she was safe had her crate on top of a suitcase so she could see outside. She gets car sick!!! . She was able to see outside. So we bought straps from Amazon had for crate so it wasn’t able to MOVE AT ALL SO perfect from Florida to Ohio. All over Ohio and back to Florida. She could sleep sit up look outside. SHE didn’t mind getting in crate. Thanks Amazon

I am so upset!!!!All of the crate training I’ve read about by says to ignore your puppy’s cries unless they are distressed.“If you can tell whether it’s really the distressed cry – you haven’t heard it yet.”Well, I heard it today!!I was walking out the door to pick up my child from school and heard my puppy’s panicked pained cries.I ran back in and his mouth was stuck, wide open on the bars!!! His teeth had hooked around the top and bottom… I had to hold his jaw and stretch it open wider and around the bars. Now I’m not sure he is safe in it until he grows more (if he is safe in it at all).

Only cons I have are that the handle has no instruction on how to place it. There is not enough gap space to accurately pop on the handle for easy carry, making it shift and slide while carrying your crate around. We tried to force the handle in the appropriate place that is should be placed but it snapped very easily. Great crate overall, just the handle needs some type of adjustment.

This has been one of the best investments we’ve made for our Collie. He is around 70lbs full grown and this 48” kennel is more than big enough for him. He was a destructive chewer as a pup…we originally bought this because we had been kenneling him in the bathroom when we were away and we came home one day to find that he had torn up the linoleum flooring ???? we are cheapskates so we searched around for the cheapest crate that would contain his chewing and be large enough for his adult size and this has done the job!! Once we started using this crate, he immediately took to it, making it his own safe space. He loves to lay in it at night or even throughout the day when he just wants some quiet time. I cannot speak for the durability of the plastic tray as he has surprisingly never once attempted to chew on it but it has done a great job at containing any water spills and messes he may create. It is easily removeable to clean and slips right back into place. The metal is fairly significant however he is not an escape artist by any means so I don’t know how easy it may be for some dogs to break out of. Overall, this has been the perfect kennel for us; we have had it almost 3yrs now and my only complaint is that is has started to rust where the metal pieces rub against each other. I would definitely recommend!
Im so glad that I purchased this crate. My 8 year old read the directions while I set it up with no problems. I have a 4 month old Olde English Bulldog that currently weighs 23 lbs so I purchased the intermediate. She is my first puppy so debated on the correct size since she is supposed to be taller than a “standard” bulldog. But since it didn’t state which bulldog breed they were referring to, I purchased it anyway. My crazy (like silly) child thinks its fun to play in there. Even with the divider she can sit comfortably with the door closed. My puppy was upset at first that she couldn’t be near us, but now she just lies down and sleeps. Now she is nice and safe when we are away. Her potty training has been much better since the purchase. I would just say watch your fingers when pulling the top to secure it into place. My fingers got stuck and OUCH!!!! I almost lost my mind and it was hard to get them out. To be honest I don’t know how I will learn to fold it down. It is pretty secure. Pet stores are way more expensive these crates. So far the quality is good looks like every other crate.Update… at one year old she damage the frame by violently wagging tail overtime. Also rusty from her licking. No longer use the divider which was great. Love the folding

I originally purchased a plastic crate for my puppy from a local Petco. I didn’t have much time to research crates because I received news that I could pick her up without warning. The plastic crate was horrible. The top and bottom kept separating. The visibility was also really poor. After having found some great training videos on You Tube (Zak George), I went with his endorsement of Midwest Crates. I’m so glad I did.The midwest is solidly built. The dog can look out easily and we can see the dog easily. The partition that comes along for potty training is nice, although we didn’t need it. I’m glad I went with the 2 door version because on several occasions early on, I had my puppy crated in the car and she needed to be near me in the passenger seat (like when I had to visit urgent care the day I picked her up from her hernia/spay procedure). With the second door located on a perpendicular wall from the other door, I was able to get my dog out of the car without having to move the crate. The fact that the crate can be collapsed is also a great feature. I haven’t had to use that feature yet, but I’m sure it’ll be handy sometime in the future. My only complaint is that one of the doors rattles while in the car. It’s an easy fix with a wad of paper but I haven’t been able to remember to jam it between the door & the crate before I set out on a car tip.

We already had a 36″ crate so I bought another 36″ crate so my two growing puppies could each have their own. When this arrived and we put it together, it was soooo much easier than the existing crate we had. As our puppies continue to grow, we decided to get rid of the older crate and get a new, larger one. So, I bought the 42″ and, right now, both puppies fit inside. They’re mixed breed but they both weigh 30lbs and 27lbs if that helps. We’ll soon probably need to put up the 36″ again so they can have their own spaces once again. This crate is super easy to put up and take down.

I bought this crate despite the awful reviews because it was big enough for what I needed it for and saw majority of good reviews. Plus you can’t beat the deal right?Wrong. I had kittens in this cage and somehow one got out to be let loose around the house. I thought it was a fluke and maybe I did something wrong, but now I am fostering an adult cat and she also got out. The door handles are very flimsy and animals can easily open them. I don’t know what else is wrong with the cage because the first time my animal got out, the latch was locked and nobody was home to let her out. the cage shouldn’t be big enough for her to go through. it’s extremely frustrating and i’ve never had this issue with another cage. I don’t believe this cage is safe for animals.

NOT your old school crate. We have two dog crates. One bought years ago for $$$ and we bought this one so we’d have one for our RV. We have a 50 lb terrier/lab mix and he has been able to escape this one as another reviewer stated. Plus this metal crate has very thin bars. If you’re selling a dog crate that is made for big dogs, it should be able to withstand big dogs. This one cannot. If your dog is calm enough to not test this crate then they probably don’t need to be crated. If your dog needs to be crated because they cause havoc when you’re away, look elsewhere and spend the money on a higher quality crate. The side door on this one does not latch as tightly as the end door. That means our dog can bang it around enough to unlatch, then bend the metal to squeeze out. SO disappointed in this lower quality crate.

Found it unsafe to leave our puppy in it because the wires that have been cut especially near the lock are sharp..I had my finger against one when my puppy nudged it.and i felt a sharp pain- can cut pup’s nose when they try to open the lock which is also easy for a smart puppy. For safety reasons we returned it. The manufacturer needs to correct these issues- otherwise its sturdy.

My husband and I are very pleased with this crate! We bought the 42 in one with two doors for our 8 week old Airedale puppy to grow into. The divider is fairly simple to move when you need to move it, but it’s not easy to do (which is probably a good thing since you don’t want your dog to be able to move it). We’ve only used one of the doors so far (the divider hooks onto the side door for the majority of its use), but it works well and doesn’t squeak or anything. Our dog has loved it from day one and hasn’t really chewed it or anything. The pan is really easy to wipe clean. My only concern is how little it takes to latch the crate. If you don’t latch it completely to the right, it doesn’t actually lock. My puppy has been able to get out of his crate a couple times when I’ve let him out to go potty in the middle of the night and wasn’t able to see the latch lock into place. I may create a second way to ensure it stays latched, because I can see my dog figuring out how to unlatch his door.

It appears to be sturdy and therefore for the most part well constructed. I also find the divider to be a nice bonus. However, the plastic panel that rests on the bottom seems a little flimsy. The rollers that come with the crate are more of a choking hazard then a means of effortlessly rolling your crate from one room to the next. I have had three of the rollers that clip on fall off within a 15 minute period. Just be aware that these are small and when they fall off, they may not always be easy to find. However, I’m sure these small parts are enticing to a puppy, which brings me to my concern. I’m concerned that they could potentially be a choking hazard. I may just take them off and figure out something else that will allow me to transport it effortlessly from room to room without scratching my hardwood floors. Until then, I’ll just fold it and carry it to another room.
We got this crate for our 3 dogs to share. Got the biggest one. I think it is 46″?. We have a 13lb, 23lb and 35lb dog. All 3 share this crate and love it. They have plenty of room and still can snuggle if they want. It folds up so easily and has a divider piece you can add if you chose to split them up. Or if you buy the bigger crate for your puppy till they get bigger. Great product ????

This is a great product for the price. I have a 70 pound Lab, I adopted from a rescue. He fits in the crate with plenty of extra room. I was able to set it up in less than 5 minutes. It is light enough to be moved by one person. The door has latches at the top and bottom of the door and they secure it well. Some reviews stated the crate did not hold their dog. My dog has not been aggressive in trying to get out of the crate but the latches can be secured with a clip if you had a pet that was that aggressive. It is easy to break down if you need to take it when traveling. I would recommend this product.
We got this for our new laberdoodle puppy. We mostly chose this brand and product from recommendations, we wanted a crate with the divider so he can grow from puppy to dog without purchasing multiple crates. This crate arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It was easy to put up, my husband set it up without anyones help (we got the 42in one). So far the puppy is doing fine with everything. No complaints from me!

It doesn’t feel right to my hands. I think it’s that there is too much play in it? And I was really dissatisfied with the door. Our dog was able to bounce it unlocked and then open it. We’ve been using clips to keep the door closed, but it’s hard to put them on and off because the wires don’t align. I’m happier with another crate we bought off Amazon, but I don’t think I’m allowed to mention a rival brand in a review. Let’s just say that I love the precision of the door system.

This crate is well-built and easy to assemble. Minutes. I love the divider for my puppy. Since dogs don’t like to go to the potty where they sleep, I can use the divider while she is small to keep her sleeping area smaller. I can adjust the divider as she grows and the crate I bought (36 inches) should be more than big enough without the divider for when she is full grown (she is estimated to be 30 pounds). I am very happy with this crate and we have bought A LOT of crates in the past. I only regret not buying the double door instead of the single door as it was only a few bucks more. Would be nice to have options on crate/door placement. I thought I ordered the double door, but I didn’t. Don’t want the hassle of sending back so I will make it work.

Super happy with the quality of this dog cage. As simple as it sounds regarding having 2 openings — it’s extremely helpful because our puppy likes weaving in and out of it while not caged. I think it helps to promote the cage being a positive experience. This size is also perfect for a tiny dog for crate/potty training. It comes with a divider but it’s not needed even for a 3 lb dog. Would highly recommend.

I am a new puppy owner and do not have a lot of puppy experience so I bought this crate to help me potty train. The best surprise on this product was that it has an adjustable divider that makes the crate smaller. When puppy training, pups need a crate only big enough for them to comfortably lay down and turn around. I didn’t understand that when I purchase the crate but when it arrived and I learned what the divider was for, I was so relieved! This crate is light so I can move it into my bedroom at night and put it in my car for trips. I would definitely purchase this product again!
I loved the fact that this was easy to assemble. Also, I was worried that my puppy, a whippet, might get injured based on the reviews claiming sharp edges. Fortunately, that is not the case. Perhaps, those individuals had hyperactive large puppies.Aside from this, this is excellent for a whippet puppy. This is because the cage come with a divider and you may adjust the divider as your puppy grows. Just get the cage size recommended for your breed as an adult.

This is a great place for our Siberian Husky to go into when she wants to be on her own with her toys. She goes in and out at will and just loves it. It’s exactly as described, easy to put together, came earlier than expected and I would recommend this company to anyone!! GREAT!!! We also ordered the dog bed from this company and it came on time, perfectly packaged and our experiences have been perfect. I would recommend this to anyone and so does our 4 month old Siberian Husky.

I bought this crate for my Boxer/Pointer mix. My dogs are crate trained, but for the past couple of years they just roam the house while we are gone. Too many holes in the couch means that they need to go back in the crate. I bought the 36″ crate and it is perfect for my 45 lb dog. She loves it.I would give it 4.5 stars if I could because one of the retainer clips that holds the back barrier up was broken on arrival. I added four zip ties to the top of the front and back of the cage and it will be plenty sturdy. My dog will not be trying to escape, though. To the people complaining about quality — you bought a $30 cage. This is very VERY good quality for the price. It’s pretty study the way it is, but if you want something that can be abused or something that will last for years and years, maybe you should stop being cheap. I have had cages that cost $200+ and I do not think there is $170 of extra value in them. I didn’t notice any sharp edges on the inside either, but if you have a crazy dog that is going to try to break free, you should invest in a plastic airline-safe crate.I wish they made one big enough for my Mastiff, because I would buy another. I’m not sure the 48″ is gonna cut it.
I returned it because I found the one I had in the attic. However, I wanted to review it anyway because it is such a great product, especially for the price. We rescued a Shitzu. She wasn’t housebroken. I tried everything except crating and was frustrated. So I crated her every time I left for a couple weeks. Just the right size for a 10 lb dog. Make sure you take the measurements as indicated and follow them. You don’t want a crate that has any more room in it than that which allows the dog to sleep comfortably. It’s not a play pen. If there’s too much room, then the dog will poop and pee in it. This is probably also a good buy if you’re going to travel and have the room in the back for it. It is very very sturdy. The pan slides out for easy cleaning. It’s super easy to set up.
We purchased this crate so that we could take our 42 pound Husky on vacation with us. We kept it in the box and it fit under all of our luggage in the SUV. It was SO EASY to set up, it literally slides/fastens into place in seconds. It is a bit smaller than her home crate but since she was only crated at night for sleeping, it was perfect! At the end of our trip, we just put it back in the original box and headed home. So happy we can easily travel with our dog and this crate!
????????????????????We got the 30” for our little barkie min pin. He went right in, lay down, stopped barking & went to sleep.Ahh, finally, this is what he was barking for. We just adopted him, he’s a senior & he has beds all over the house, plus we put one of his nests on the foot of the bed, but no! He wanted his own den. We knew he should have a crate but he sure barked about it. Thank you for the quick delivery. The silence!!!☺️

We purchased this for our black lab puppy because it was imperative that we crate train for nights and when we aren’t home. The MidWest iCrate is awesome. We bought the 36″ with the divider and the double doors so it could grow with him and I didn’t have to purchase multiple crates. We live in an apartment so having double doors was important to allow me to keep it where it most out of the way. We actually had a piece of plywood cut and painted for the top and we keep all his toys, the leash, etc in a basket on top. He’s doing great, but you want to know about the crate.First, I researched a lot, and my goodness crates are expensive. I was happy I decided to go with Amazon because with my Prime shipping, this crate was nearly 1/2 the cost of what I would have had to pay for one size smaller at the pet store. And Walmarts crates are all crap and are not sturdy at all. This crate is very well made, and in one of the questions I saw someone ask about sharp edges being corrected. I guess they have because my crate is smooth everywhere and no jagged or sharp edges at all. The plastic tray is easy to slide out and clean. We recently moved and found that the crate was very easy to collapse and it’s heavy but not too heavy to move.Doors open and close with no issue, and I love that I have the double doors because as I mentioned previously, it has allowed us to use the crate practically anywhere because we can just use a different door. The divider is perfect and installs easily. My puppy is very comfortable and I did buy a bed for it, but he can’t use that until the divider comes out, so we had to settle and get him a smaller pet bed in the meantime, but I am not sorry about that either. This has been the perfect crate for us, and I am so happy we bought it.

When we first put this together and let her sleep in it, I did not put in the divider. She peed in the back of the cage. I read the instructions again and they recommend using the divider to size the dogs area just enough for their sleeping area. So we made the area smaller. She goes into the cage easily and has enough room to curl up in either side. Since using the divider she has NOT soiled the cage. Instead she whines or barks to be taken out. So good cage but use the divider to adjust usable area for your size dog.
We bought this kennel to use for our new rescues dogs. One was 6 months at the time and the other was 4 years old, they were both able to fit in the kennel comfortably with the divider between them. Our older dog had horrible kennel anxiety and did everything he could to try to escape this kennel, with no such luck, he was able to barely bend a couple of bars but that was it. After that we only used it for our puppy and he loves it, hes now about 3 and around 40lbs and still uses the same kennel. The messes he’s made in it were easy to clean and its super easy to collapse and bring with you almost anywhere.

No sharp ends, well made and coated. Had one for years from Midwest before this one, but gave it away. These are great if you need something of this size. Dogs love it. Especially with a cover during a thunderstorm. I zip tie the top corners so no chance of it unfolding with them inside (neurotic, I am). You can’t beat this price for the quality.ps I haven’t had a problem, but there was a beagle puppy who caught her pad between the door and the frame (one in a million) on the three door model years ago. I don’t see that happening with the one I just received.

This purchased and it was the hardest thing to undo. It took 5 people to get it unfolded and once unfolds it was deformed and bowed out. It did not come with the center piece as I had expected to help make the crate smaller until the puppy was big enough. I am sending this back. I haven’t even gotten the puppy yet but if the crate is already deformed I expect the dog to be able to get out and or have mother issues so going ahead and retuning.

I first bought the Amazon Basics 42″ Kennel as they are both about the same price, but it was priced a little less. I thought that I liked the design of it better from the photos, but when I got the Amazon Basics Kennel brand the way that the snap brackets at the top lock in was much harder to use and was a hassle. I have a friend who has a Champion Brand 42″ Kennel, but they are not on Amazon for this price range and were not on Prime. What I have loved about it, is how easy it is to put up and take down and it snaps and unsnaps easy. This Kennel from Midwest iCrate brand has the same easy snap brackets as the Champion brand and is very easy to put and and take down and I think the metal is thicker and as such likely is stronger. This Kennel is almost half the price of the Champion brand as well and I think just as nice if not the same quality. I also like this has the Amazon Prime so the shipping to return would have been free if the Kennel was junk. I would suggest this Kennel for anyone looking for a large Kennel as it is a great one.

We put this out on our covered back deck for the silver lab (14 months) and chocolate lab (7 months) pups. This is large enough for the two of them to fit into at the same time. One on top of the other, acting like crazy kids. It is strong enough to withstand them bouncing around, being pinned in the corner, hitting the roof of the crate and spilling out onto the deck at a full run. No dents, unhinged walls or overturned crate. We are impressed. When they do take a rest, they love to lay in the morning sun inside their new crate, even though they have another bed right next to the crate.

This was a great travel cage for our chinchilla when we had almost three days of driving to move across the country. It was large enough to fit/mount her large, hand-made custom running wheel (15″ dia.). And although it is a fraction of the size of her regular ‘house’, she seemed to be very comfortable and happy with it. It was very easy to assemble and folds back down just as easy for storage. For dog owners, it comes with a free ‘kennelling’ guide and the unit has a ‘seperator’ wall to aid in the training process as the dogs grow. Overall, a great functioning cage that is well constructed and a good value.
My pup doesn’t necessarily like the pen as he loves to be a dog toddler and roam, however, the pen is awesome. He’s an unknown mixed breed so I got the largest size and it is HUGE. I kinda wish I could return it for the size smaller but my son ripped the box apart so oh well. The crate arrived on time, no damage, is very strong, was easy to put together, and offers a good amount of space. Definitely a good buy.

I was going to buy a $180 crate from the local pet store. Went on Amazon and saw this. 35,000 reviews? I’ll take a shot. It is perfect. Sets up in like 15 seconds. A removable tray (thank goodness I’m not had to use it). This is a must for potty training. The divider makes it easy to give our puppy enough space to turn around but not so much space that he will pee in one corner and live in the other. Of course as the puppy gets bigger, the divider is movable and removable. simply stated, it is much better, more feature laden and less expensive than anything I have seen in the stores.

It’s my first time raising Kittens, I wish somebody had told me how quick they would grow. I would have gotten a much bigger crate. I got the XXS for them and within a month, they’re practically fighting for space inside the crate!!They’re not fully vaccinated yet so I put them in this crate and take them to the backyard to let them look around and get some air. Of course they want out! But the lock is secure enough that they can’t open it themself. The size I got is lightweight and easy to assemble and disassemble. I can take it anywhere with me without any struggle, fits under my low bed when I don’t need it.If you see the photo, my kittens are only 2 months old (different litter) and the XXS is not enough space for them, so I will upgrade and donate this to a nearby Animal Care Center.

I’ve been trying to crate train my dog since I brought her home as a puppy…. And it was a horrible experience . if put her bed in her kennel, and lots of food and treats. But shed sit there and bark and whine all day and all night no matter what I did. So crate training came to an end really fast. She’s a long haired miniature doxie and I’ll tell you shed clever as all get out, but she’s not the brightest strand in the bulb. A few days ago she almost drown herself by jumping in a water feature head first and got stuck. If we didn’t see her, she would have drown…. It was scary. Then ten minutes later she jumps off our porch which is very high off the ground to get to some food and she lands right on her head, at first we thought she broke her neck cause she started squirming around with her neck in a weird position with her mouth open.Thats when I told myself that this dog NEEDS to be crate trained before she kills herself. When I got this crate we got it all set up and let her check it out. While I was working I’d keep tossing treats in there for her so shed walk in the crate and be fond of it. She loved it . she’s seriously good driven so it really helped . then I grabbed her kong toy and filled it with dog cream cheese. So shed wonder in there and find it and sit down and play with it, it was like she didn’t even care about being in the crate. So I tried closing the door for a few minutes to see how shed react, and she didn’t even care.By the end of the day she was taking naps in the crate and was very comfortable with it . SHE SLEPT THE ENTIRE NIGHT IN THE CRATE WITH THE DOOR CLOSED WITHOUT CRYING OR WHINING OR TRYING TO GET OUT. IM AMAZED!I think she really likes this crate a lot more than the other one I had because it’s very open, she can see in and out, and everything around her when she’s in it. In the other one it was like a dark cave.I’m so happy, now my dog will have her own safe place now.Ps the price is unbeatable!Thank you!
Ordered from “other sellers” on amazon. It was listed in great condition but not in original box. Which was okay to me. Came in amazon package box was damaged and crate had a slight bend. It was NOTHING that stopped this crate for being use properly! I’d buy it again. This crate will be toted around to dog shows and dog classes so the small bend (see pic of crate still in box) does not hamper its use. I saved money and it’s a excellent working crate. All tag and instructions were included and still attached to crate.
I was hesitant in buying this. Didn’t see a lot of good reviews. After reading them I wasn’t hesitant in buying anymore. If your dog is crate trained, you won’t have any problems. To blame a crate for a dogs actions in getting hurt when it’s not properly crate trained is ridiculous. This dog crate is the same as any name brand gate. Compared side by side, there is virtually no difference.I had purchased this for my pomsky. He was already worked into crate training and loves sleeping in here.I don’t mind spending less for a crate that does the same function as any other.

Good crate. I think I ordered one way too big for my mini dachshund. I bought a 24″ and should have gone with an 18! However, it’s made well, and folds up well. Has a good crate floor.Pros:Easy assembly and portabilityLightweight even for it’s sizeI’ve taught my puppy that it’s her “Room” and she’s usually excited to get inCons:The latch. I didn’t think a 3 month old puppy could become Harry Houdini’s reincarnation but by golly it has!Sharp edges. I went through and filed some edges down.Advice:If you’re looking for this for a MINI DACHSHUND – Don’t get the 24x18x19 size. Get a size smaller.Get some small carabiners to keep the latch closed so your puppy can’t disappear.

We bought this for our tall, 55lb goldendoodle (picture attached for an idea on his size). First off, this is very easy to setup. I like that there’s no real assembly required, it more or less just unfolds. As we love to travel with our dog, having a crate that was easily to setup, tear down, and set back up was crucial. I’ve done so at least 5 or 6 times since purchasing in August. It has really held together and is incredibly sturdy once setup. Sometimes our dog pushes against the crate and it doesn’t fall over or even give too much. The hard plastic on the bottom has been very durable and both of the locking sides work well. There is a top and bottom lock on the front and side and he’s never been able to bust out (he’s an escape artist so that’s saying something). Even at his size he fits nicely in this crate and still has enough room to turn around while finding the perfect spot. Between myself and my parents, I’ve owned a number of dogs and crates and this is by far the best. Very safe blind purchase you won’t regret.

Easy set up.Ordered this for potty training a Feral cat with A polyp on her nose after 3 days of being in crate. It taught her to use the litter boxEach day I would let her out for awhile as a reward. Now she knows when its time to go,Where to go. These crates are a blessing, strong , very durable. Use to have on for a dog long rime ago (regretted giving the crate away) Also great in emergencys Situations or having work done in homewhen need to put your pet safely away for awhile So they are not in the way of harm.5*’s given to thos product
Crate is great – we originally bought a 42″ crate for our lab puppy but she turned out to be a small one once full grown so we picked this up in the 36″ size and it works well for her (would be too small for most labs). The crate seems identical to our previous crate of another brand (both good quality) but the tray here is a little nicer. It did arrive with the base dented in at one point, but it wasn’t bad enough to be worth the effort of an exchange. Value is way better than whats available at best stores – two doors is a must.
I bought this for my Labrador Puppy at 4 months of age. I was shuffling between a 36″ or a 42″ because she currently has a 36″ plastic crate in my office and she has more than enough room. After reading the numerous reviews, I went with the 42″ and when I had set it up it looked gigantic so it took a few adjustments to get used to. I bought the 42″ Midwest Crate together with the Midwest Paw Print Reversible Fleece Stuffed Bed in 42″ as well. It fits perfect together. Also, I included a fleece blanket in there for an additional comfort bedding for my dog. 🙂 You can find really cheap ones at Target. I got lucky and bought a clearance one on sale for $8.95. After setting everything up with some added toys; she was very happy and content. The 42″ is still big for her at this age but know she will grow into it as she gets older. She is old enough where she is not soiling her sleep area so with this size of crate she is free to roam around. This allow us not feel bad since she is able to walk around and do whatever she wants in her big crate while knowing she is safe and secured.Overall, highly recommend the crate for all dog owners especially when you are first getting your puppy. That was the one thing we regret by getting a smaller size crate rather than at this size and using the divider which comes with the crate itself. The advantage of this crate you can easily fold down to store away and it will allow your pet to see you in all direction vs. a plastic crate. We use this for our house and the plastic crate we use for work that way we have both options. We took the 2 handles off in fear of our puppy reaching it to destroy while she is in the teething stage. Also, to double secure the two doors by adding a pad-lock just in case the latch comes loose which says in the reviews. The price is decent on Amazon vs. having to purchase one at a local pet store which is costly.

Purchased with compatible cover. Recommend a cover for a feeling of security. The only thing that could possibly be a downfall is that the fasteners are straight and not hooked like my old kennel to prevent the dog from bouncing/scratching it open. No issues so far. There is plenty of room in there for a 27 lb pup and twin 3 yr olds. The tray/pan did come broken but it wasn’t an issue and I didn’t choose to return because it was an edging piece that doesn’t really matter. It doesn’t effect the use. As far as dog kennels go I’m happy with it, my dog has plenty of room, and the twins live escaping to it with their Kindles.

I love this crate, and I love Amazon’s price on it… $6 less than my local pet store, and free Prime shipping. It only took 2 days to get here so I could crate train my new little guy. Best price for the best crate available IMO.Great quality; sturdy, easy to assemble, comes with a (useless) crate divider. LOVE the little rollers on the bottom; makes it easy to move, doesn’t scratch floors. And unlike an old iron one I also have (or at least it feels that heavy), it’s a cinch to pick up and move around.Liked this so much I ordered one for my sister too.
Prior to purchasing this crate, I read a LOT of reviews of it. Was hoping for the best when we purchased. It is NOT the most heavy duty crate I have ever had, but it works just as you hope it would. Mine did not have any sharp edges (as some other reviews mentioned) and is a nice quality crate, ESPECIALLY for the price. We liked it so much that we ordered a second one to have downstairs if we wanted it. We ordered the 42″ and it is PLENTY big for our 50 pound dog. I debated about the 42″ and the 48″. 48″ would have been too big for our dog. Love having the doors on two sides. Makes is so much more simple to decide where to place it. It has two handles that you can attach if you choose that make it easy to move about. The bottom pan slides out if you need to clean it, but you can latch it so the dog can’t slide the pan out. A few reviewers said there dogs were able to open the latch….I see NO WAY that that is possible. The latches are secure, and no dog would be able to open it from the inside. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive crate, then this is the one for you.

I haven’t had to fold it yet since it’s always in use but I bought this for my puppy when she was 8 weeks old and now she’s turned 1. Never had issues with crate chewing but at the start she would pee in her crate and that was an easy fix with the included divider, after that she never did it again and I increased her room area. The divider left enough space underneath to fit the bed as well and in that time I used the other side of the crate for storage. I bought a slightly larger size for my Maltese but I think it’s perfect. She’s now 7-8lbs and can move around and lay spread out in her crate. I loved the double doors it made it so convenient when moving to crate to a different area since I still had access to it and it makes it much easier to clean having the wide side door. The rubber rollers are wonderful and I don’t have to worry about damaging the hardwood floors. Wonderful addition to your puppy’s things. They’ll learn to love it like it’s their bedroom. I enjoyed this brand so much, I bought the same but larger crate for my second dog.
I bought 2 of these for my 2 old lady cats (19 and 20yrs old respectively). My intended use for them isnt why Im writing this review… How I *actually* used one is why. 1) It was easy to set up right out of the box. I had some difficulty getting the divider screen out… but I was also in a rush and stressed out. 2). I set it up for a safe space for my cat who recently became very ill, and it was a perfect size to set at the end of my queen size bed, and insured my cat didnt wander around while I was sleeping and hurt herself because she was on serious pain medication.3). It is marketed to dog owners with med/large size dogs or kennel training with puppies… *and*~> it was purrrrfect for caring for an old cat that needs to be “contained”.

I have a 50 pound lab mix and he fits really well in the 42″ one. He has plenty of room to stand and lie down. We got a crate for when we are not home since our dog likes chewing clothing, rugs, etc.. He feels fine going in it to sleep as well. Crate feels sturdy and was easy to assemble. The single door version does not have a door on the top which is on other models. I think my only issue is that I wish the locks were more secure. The bars are short and I just feel that a dog could get out of this easily, if they wanted to. I like the L-style bolts better – these are just straight bars.
I have the 36 inch kind, which was great, and then I got the bigger 42 inch one because my dog got bigger. This larger one was not made as well. One of the sides was slightly larger than it needed to be, so one of the top corners isn’t 90 degrees. It is also harder to fold up because there are either kinks or some places too tight. Aside from quality consistency issues, the crate is pretty good!

I ordered this because my little Chihuahua is getting old and having night time “accidents” where she can’t hold her bladder. I only put her in it at night with a potty pad to avoid carpet messes. I can fit her little bed in there comfortably and put the potty pad on top of her little bed that I cover with a pillow case. She stays comfy and I don’t wake up to anymore carpet messes. The size is perfect for small dogs for short periods of time. It’s super easy to set up and breakdown. I’ve taken it with me when we go to visit Family on overnight trips and love the fact that I’m not lugging around a big bulky cage. The handle on it is also very sturdy. I’d recommend it to buy.
Purchased this cage for our new puppy, loved that it came with a divider, very important in the early stages of training. Cage works well, easy setup and take down. Bottom slides out for easy cleaning but can also lock it in place. Very happy with the purchase.UPDATE: 2/20/19I purchase a second cage, 36″ for my rescue pup, 43lb Border Collie mix and as you can see on day 1 he is very comfortable and cozy. As you can see in the photos uploaded the cage came as they said it would. Very easy install. I haven’t noticed sharp edges as others have expressed in previous reviews. The only issue is the divider that came with this 36″ cage doens’t fit in some as if the dimentions are off a bit, however, it doesn’t bother me because this pup is potty trained and he doesn’t need the divider. I did opt for the two-door system with this one and I’m happy I did, give you more options for what wall you want to put the cage on.
Easy to assemble, it is exactly as advertised and functions well. Is roomy enough for our 80lb yellow lab mix, and I was able to find a soft crate pad in the right size. We have had our dog since she was 2 and she is now 8 years old. She is a great dog but has a lifelong obsession with getting on the sofa. The dog, through her constant vigilance in this matter, is always inevitably able to make it on to the sofa from time to time in spite of all efforts to prevent this from happening. Each time this happens, the sofa needs about an hour of vacuuming due to her heavy shedding. Finally I got tired of constantly trying to outmaneuver the persistant doggie, which usually involved removing couch cushions or covering couch with chairs or something before we left the house or sometimes even if we left the living room unattended. The wily dog will sometimes even knock items off the couch so she can get on the sofa when we were not around. Often my family and I were avoiding using our own sofa so as not to have to “armor” and de-armor it multiple times (or to avoid being covered in pet hair between vacuumings). I am a fairly neat person and this was getting on my nerves, though I do love my dog who is mostly a sweetheart. In spite of her passive-aggressive couch jumping-on tendencies. Also we were constantly going through a series of other preventive rituals such as making sure all food is out of reach, shutting all doors to bedrooms and bathrooms, etc. Now the dog just goes in the crate, which is by the window in her favorite resting spot (besides the couch that is). We tried her in a crate at a friend’s house and she was fine with it and has been fine with this one so far. It is a good size. It is not very portable so would not recommend if you are looking for a travel crate. A good solution to a problem for us anyways 🙂

It was a bit difficult to assemble (not because I didn’t know what to do, but it was physically hard), particularly because one corner of the create was a bit crooked. We got this in small for our shih tzu, and while he still has to grow into it, it seems like a good size. The partition was a good way to ease him into so he understood it was his home and he immediately liked it.

First, I can’t even open it up all the way because it’s stuck on the bottom with that crate divider. I don’t want to accidentally cut or hurt myself trying to pry them part so I will just close it back up and return. The quality is not good. One part of the metal is bent. Most importantly, there are many sharp areas all over the crate. I don’t like that. I will not recommend. Spend a little more at for a better crate. The front door hinge is difficult to open and close as well and the latch is not great compared to my other two.

Large dog crate for my lab puppy. It is the perfect size for him to grow into. Already assembled and easy to set up with good instructions and training guide. I like the plastic floor insert that can be easily removed and cleaned. Latches secure at top and bottom of the doors. Good option of having a side door and crate divider which is really helpful in limiting movement and elimination in the crate as my puppy was growing. I only used that for the first few months before he outgrew it. I use a dark bed sheet as a crate cover, not too hot and gives him a den to sleep in during the day. I use it as a fixed crate and do not use the folding portability feature, but it would be easy to do that. My only complaint is the lack of adjustability for which way the crate doors open. I would like to be able to switch them around for my personal preference, but I can live with the way they are.
I think it’s great, particularly for the price. I got the version with two doors for less than the version with one! The 24-By-18-By-19-Inch is the perfect size for my 14-lb. dachshund mix. (She’s got a miniature-dachshund-sized body and head but with normal-sized, tall legs.)I also bought one for my 10-lb. miniature dachshund (with the dwarf legs), and it looks pretty enormous around her. She has very little fur, though, so with a big poofy bed (LOVE the
MidWest Quiet Time Pet Bed Deluxe Gray Ombre Swirl 23″ x 18″
) and a bulky blanket to keep her warm, it’s pretty cozy. It comes with a divider to shorten it while training, so I’d rather err on the side of a BIT too large than too small. If I had my fondest wishes, the doors would be reversible, so that I could put the crate on any wall and have the door open toward the wall and not into the room, but that would probably overcomplicate the design, and I love the design. I like that one dog can use her door one way and the other dog another, which helps when setting them up in limited space. It’s VERY easy to put together. MUCH preferable to my big dog’s crate, which requires removing pins and aligning a hundred eyeholes and stacking pieces that don’t like to stack. (That one is not a MidWest crate, just to be clear.)The instructions don’t say anything about the handle, I don’t think. I found that, to balance the weight of the crate, it goes much closer toward the front than the back. Nice to have a handle! They both took to their crates quite easily. I was surprised at how much the mini doxie liked it, ’cause she’d had a traumatic experience with a kennel as a puppy and hated hers ever since. When we had this one in the living room, she’d regularly wander into it and sleep there with the door open.I’d recommend these bowls for small dogs:
Stainless Steel Coop Cups with Wire Hanger Size:10 Oz Packs:Pack of 2
. They attach to the side of the crate. Just be sure you don’t hook them over the door and then open it too quickly.
Excellent crate!! Awesome price. We have a rescued German Shepherd who likes to escape crates. If this didn’t work we would have to spend $2,000 on a police grade one he couldn’t escape. We put zip ties on each corner so he couldn’t collapse it, and put a padlock on the door/crate with key when we leave. It works very well. He loves to lay in it when we are home but tries very hard to get out when not home. We left him in our garage and he almost scratched/but through garage door to get out to find ya because he separation anxiety is so high from being abandoned previously. He was found in the streets as astray and on the verge of dying from thinness. Thanks for a great crate! Highly recommend.

I recently adopted a 1.5 yo 70 lb GSD Lab mix and she can be quite rambunctious. We attempted leaving her in a spare room all cleared out and she demolished the blinds and managed to scrape her belly on something. Woops! We need to keep her safe and calm while away from home, so we gave this crate a try. The price of this crate was more than reasonable, so even if it didn’t work out, it was a good purchase and worth a try. Good news, she took to the crate just fine. She must have been crate trained with her previous family, but we had no clue about her history as she came from the humane society.I didn’t give this crate 5 or 4 stars because it isn’t the best quality. The wire seems to bend more than desired and the doors are a little off kilter and the hinges/locks aren’t great. I took the advice of zip tying the weak points and also zip tied the doors shut so she didn’t bend one and get her head caught in it or something. I also laid towels down to cover the openings along the bottom after reading the horror stories of dogs getting their paws caught and injured. If I were to do this again, I would look into a sturdier construction for my large dog. Small animals would probably be okay in these.I bought a Large and it was the perfect size. The large/x-large wouldn’t be very practical for travel, though, as it is quite heavy and large.

I was moving from Washington state to Arizona and needed a safe and somewhat comfortable way of transporting my 3 cats. It worked out great. I used the divider as a shelf, and put their bed on it. Litter box went underneath the shelf. I also purchased two bowls that mounted to the cage and a cat house/scratcher thing to give them more places to sleep. It worked out great! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience ????
Ordered 3 of these a few years ago. My sisters dog has bad anxiety so basically destroyed hers. She learned to be in the house without tearing nothing up so no longer needed it. Over 2 years later, my dog still has potty issues so she stays kenneled. It has held up very well. Shes smart and can unlock it with her paw so I keep a lock on it. The side door is zip tied but I doubt she knows its there anyway cuz I never used it. The third I bought in case my other dog needed it but she does fine in the house. I gave it to a friend who has a great dane puppy, but seems he doesn’t do well w kennel training. He is a good pup tho. As far as the product, for normal use, it has held up and beed a good investment!

We originally got this crate for my grandmas yellow lab (who we recently adopted) because she has arthritis in her hips and back legs. We felt that her previous crate, though technically large enough, did not give her quite enough space to fully spread out, and she spends a lot of time in her crate (because she likes it) so we wanted to make sure she had plenty of room. Therefore we bought the honking 48 incher listed here. It was a great price for that size of crate at only 61$ when we had purchased it. She now has plenty of space to spread out. She can lay on her side with her legs straight out and not be cramped. The side door is also fantastic, as in our home the only place the crate fit required we had a side door as the main door is blocked by furniture.(For reference, the labrador retriever using this crate was probably around 80-85lbs when we first got the crate, she has lost some weight and is now at 75lbs but aside from a trimmer waist, she’s still just as big!)

This whole thing came to me slightly bent. Not sure if it’s the fault of the sellers or the shipping company but it’s noticeable that something must’ve been stacked on top of it to make it bend like that. Tried bending it back into shape the best I could. Had to take pliers and bend the tabs that hold each corner because each corner was too loose and worried about my dog getting stuck trying to find a weak spot. The door for the short side opens tough; again probably because it’s all bent. And as shown in one of the pictures the door for the long side isn’t even sitting straight leaving a gap in the doorway. So many things wrong with this kennel and may have turned out better if it didn’t come to me all bent up. Ordered this one because it had high stars, but I’m very disappointed.

This crate was extremely easy to set up. I also practiced collapsing it and setting it up again. The process was a breeze. The divider goes in very easily and is sturdy. The latching mechanism is very secure as well. I got this crate for my goldendoodle puppy and I haven’t had any issues with it so far. I monitor my puppy in the crate with a puppy camera for peace of mind and she loves the crate. I paired the crate with a crate cover just for a more sleek look and to provide privacy and a more secure place for the pup. No complaints. I highly recommend this product especially for the price!

Perfect size for my two medium sized pups to fit in, they like it! They out grew there older crate, this upgrade was perfect! It is heavy so be prepared and measure your space you intend to put it as it is very large takes up good amount of space. I suggest to buy its sturdy, make sure all clips snap in!

The crate came flat in a box and in about two minutes it was completely assembled. The only negative that I have is that I wish the door would pop off (though I did get it off with some pliers…, I never close the door on my crates…it is simply a hidey place for my dog if it gets scared or sometimes it simply wants to sleep in there. I cover it with a blanket with only the front open and my dog seems to feel safe and secure in her own little hidey place. This is the second one I have bought. They are so easy to put together, have a tray for the bottom in case your dog has an accident…and this one was sized perfectly for my Boston. It comes with a divider but you would have to have two very very small dogs to use the divider. All in all I am totally happy with it.. which is why I have two of them.

The crate arrived as promised, that’s is where the praise ends. I have not returned it as we had a new dog in the family ( a GSD that was a rescue) the crate is made out of the same weight of material that I have had bird cages made of, in, fact now that I think about it the cage for my Sun Conure was made of a heavier wire than this product. And this product was meant to contain a large dog. The way the crate door closes is only a friction fit no latching system. So a determined dog can escape just by wigglling the door till the closures works loose. My dog escaped twice I now have a caribiner reinforcing the door. Conclusion , if you are putting rabbit or chickens into this cage it might work. It is not made for bigger animals.

We have the crate that is the next size up for my 1 year old Boxer. He is fairly small for a Boxer and the next size up is quite huge for him. We figured we would get this one for him in order to save space in my daughter’s room (which is where he sleeps, he cannot yet be trusted to wonder the house and not eat random things at night). Unfortunately, whereas the next size up is way to big for him. This one is just a little to small for him. He has to hunch over to enter the crate door and he cannot stand with his head raised once inside. It is a great crate though. Very nice quality and the other one we have has worked great for him. We even take it on trips with us, which since owning him and the crate we have probably gone on about 15 trips and the crate folding up for travel is awesome. I will give this as a gift once I find someone that has a dog that is the right size for it. My only complaint is that there is not a size in between the 36 inch and the 42 inch (38 or 40 would be perfect for my pup and would save some greatly needed space). But these seem to be the standard sizes that all the manufacturers make, so I don’t think I can take a star off for that.

This crate is amazing for the price. I just got a puppy and have been skeptical about crate training because I’ve heard so many different pros and cons, but decided ultimately that it’s safer for me to leave him in a crate during the day or night than alone as it’ll prevent him from getting into trouble. The crate is exactly as advertised and comes with a divider you can use until your dog is at his full grown size. My puppy isn’t going to grow much more anyway, so I’m not using the divider, but I tried to put it in and it was simple enough and seemed sturdy. The crate was SO easy to put together, it took me less than 5 minutes because you simply just open it and push some things in here and there (instructions are included with crate if you need them). The plastic panel that goes on the bottom of the crate is also an awesome bonus because it’s so easy to clean if your dog has an accident.I had read some previous negative reviews for this product that talked about their dogs getting injured because of sharp edges. I’m not sure if they have resolved the issue since then or those people received defective crates, but the crate I received had all smooth edges and I inspected everywhere for sharp or pointy parts and I didn’t find any. My puppy has actually grown to like his crate which is a bonus!

I was able to assemble this all on my own. No help needed from hubby,woot-woot. Haha. I like that it has the divider so that we can remove it once our little fur baby grows. Right now, having the divider helps keep our furry family member feel secure and safe.

I did keep this crate because it was just too much of a hassle to send it back. There are sharp edges, which I smoothed out with a metal nail file and touched up with clear nail polish, the corners do not line up, especially at the front of the crate where the door is located. I used zip ties to pull the side bars together so the crate would be sturdy. The pieces that are supposed to lock the crate sides together were spaced out so much and I had to push them into a fold that would actually latch on to the bars. There were bent bars, which I fixed by using rubber handles on a pliers and a rubber handle on a small tack hammer.I have a smaller crate that is great. No problems at all. I ordered the larger crate to give my puppy more room and keep the smaller crate in my car for traveling and overnight visits. What happened to the quality of the larger crate is a mystery and I was very disappointed that I had to put so much effort into making it safe.Very little alignment in the finished product.
I cannot tell you what an insane deal this is. Any name brand pet store will have a large dog crate for double, if not triple this cost. The growth divider is fantastic I have a 6 month can corso mastiff mix and we have yet to move the divider (divider is set a little more than half way)…getting close though! I will say that a full grown St. Brnd or Great Dane…or any of the REALLY large breeds would not be able to fit into this. The picture breed is off, you normally don’t think of a lab as a large breed dog. My puppy is much taller than my moms lab and she fits into this crate with room to grow. Set up was really easy…she had one accident in the crate when we first got her and clean up was pretty easy. I highly recommend this crate.

This is a quality dog crate. It folds up and down easily and has helps a puppy feel secure in their own space. It also comes with a divider to make the cage smaller, which to our surprise helped the dog. The dog enjoys going in her cage and we often find her there relaxing. The only negative to remark about the cage is the small roller attachments on the bottom repeatedly fall off whenever the cage is moved. This isn’t a huge deal, but can be annoying.
Cage size is exactly as stated. People who think the cage is too big did not take a tape measurer and see how big the cage was before they bought it. It fits a 80lb dog with a mattress and he still has room to spare. The cage has a divider if you feel it is too big so it gives the dog less room so he does not go to the bathroom in the cage if that is an issue for you. Previous reviews said that the cage had sharp parts on it, I have bought three and none of them had any sharp parts . The cage was shipped quickly within a few days the packaging was great and set up is super easy!UPDATE: So its been about a month since I received my first cage and it is awesome!!! Its pretty heavy duty for 35 lb puppies trying to kick their way out of the cage once locked in. There is no damage at all the cage is durable. I never really thought twice about the pan in it when I first ordered it but it is great. Heavy duty able to withstand the puppies, you can bleach it and it doesnt change color or fade, and the fact that the pan pulls out to clean it is great so you dont have an accident trying to lift it out. The cage also has wheels so you can just roll it to clean behind the cage and no damage to the floor. I love these cages more and more every day!2ND Update: Its been over two years and the cages still work great and look great. I have never had any issues with them and my dogs love them. They have lasted through the puppy stage and are holding up strong into their adult stage. The pans still look brand new and the metal is holding up well.

I received this crate several months ago. It was easy to set up and the divider was easy to put in. Our puppy was excited to get a bigger space. She was happy to go in and out for several days and set used to it.8/3/16 UPDATE:After using this crate for several months it has held up great. Our dog is not a chewer and she does not get anxiety when we leave. As others have mentioned the cut bars on the top of the door are sharp. I get scratched periodically. The latches work well, sometimes the lower one doesn’t fully go in, but with a slight push on the cage, it goes right in. The bottom of the crate, along with the plastic tray, are quite noisy when our dog goes in and moves (flops) around. I have remedied this a little by placing a fleece blanket under the plastic tray. I will try to also put the cage on a rug too. The crate is easy to assemble and disassemble as I have done it myself several times. It can be a bit heavy to carry out to the car, but it’s manageable. It fits in my trunk (older Buick LeSabre) and I am happy about that. The paint has not chipped and all is intact. I do wish the handles had come with rubber on them. We took some from an older cage and put them on. Otherwise the handles would be too hard for my hands.Pros: Great size for our growing Labradoodle (shes tall like her Poodle father), she’s probably over 50 pounds by now and still has plenty of room.Works great – assembled and disassembled easilyDoor swings easilyDog likes it, so do weComes with two removable plastic handlesCons:Loud when dog move around, or enters/exitsbottom handle sometimes needs help closing fullyNeeds rubber handle covers to help handsOverall, I would purchase this again. I am happy with it and my dog is too. It gives her a space all her own and she sleeps in there every night. We have just been able to leave the door open and she will go in by herself and sleep. FYI I did make a padded bed for her to help ease her floppiness and make it softer for her. Also, these bars will give, so if you have a crazy dog, I would probably get a more heavy-duty crate. This one works for us and Daisy well.
This is the best crate! We had a huge one for our shepherd mix. While we didn’t use it much, he didn’t mind being in there once in awhile when there were people coming in and out of the house for maintenance and so on. When he passed away and we decided to get another dog, we purchased another crate in the small size for that puppy. It assembled in seconds and has a divider, which is perfect for t he puppy days of potty training and crate practice.
We bought this crate to train our new GSD puppy. Overall it is a good product. It was easy to set up and seems very solid. The included divider (a big reason we chose this model) is not easy to get in place or move; my wife and I struggled with it every time we moved it.The crate has plastic rollers on one end that make it easier to move when needed. They also help protect against scratching the floors. The slide in/out tray is a great idea; if your pet has an accident the cleanup would be easier and the mess contained. The tray locks in place so it doesn’t slide about with a clip-like metal hinge on the front. The clip (on my crate at least – is very stubborn; it is a challenge to disengage it.The issue with the divider and the tray lock are why I deducted a star.

I bought this for inside my rabbit pen, and was pleasantly surprised by the divider it came with, which I was able to rig up as a hay rack. I put a bed on the bottom, hung a hammock I the back, and put a blanket on top for my rabbit to hang out on. I keep the door open all the time and she comes in and out as she pleases, but if I ever have to travel with her it will make a great travel cage.

This is my second purchase of this crate. I was very happy with the first, which is why I bought the second. This new one is significantly inferior to my first. The edges do not line up well and creates gaps at the corners. I think this is because of the metal brackets used to connect the sides. They are of varying sizes so it doesn’t allow for proper alignment. The final issue is that the notches that you slide the locking mechanism into are much larger, which means that the doors do not shut snuggly. All of these problems might not be a problem for some dogs, but they make me nervous. I am concerned about my dog getting injured and will have to look for other options. I will not be purchasing this brand again.

Forgot to take a pic but in general it is a very nice cage I love it since I have a girl dog and she’s my princess. But for some reason it’s not as sturdy as I would expect. I have a 21 or 22 inch from the same brand and it was not like this. The roof does not stay in place it always wants to cave in an inch or 2 and I feel somewhat unsafe putting things on top of her cage now so now I barely have anything ever on it. I used to use a bigger and older cage and it’s very old probably 5-10 years old it’s rusted and everything but it’s sturdier than this. If your very careful or maybe luckier than I then go ahead and get the pink color. By the way for reference for anyone my dog is 8 months and 5 pounds in the picture.

We got this for our beagle-lab mix who is 36lbs and he fits in well and has some space left. The build quality is good but it there are some edges on the outside which are sharp, although it hasn’t hurt the dog yet, you can still feel it to the touch on several sides. We did file them and added some guards and they are okay for now.The crate also feels a little filmsy because it kind of shakes when I dog pushes it with his paws hard but it does stay shut.
